GDPR
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU and EEA areas. The GDPR aims primarily to give control to citizens and residents over their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying the regulation within the EU. It was adopted on 14 April 2016 and became enforceable beginning 25 May 2018.
The Lead Partner of the BSUIN project is responsible for the data collection that is needed for project management. This data includes mainly contact details. The records of processing activities of the University of Oulu are followed in the BSUIN project management.
Each partner is responsible to follow the records of processing activities of their own organization if they have data collection that is under GDPR.
